Summer Cake

I love to bake. I especially bake cakes. I decorate them, and make them all from scratch. I made one of my favs today. It's great for summer because it's served cool and it's light.
Standard white cake. Once cooked and cooled pole holes throughout with a fork. Prepare your favorite jello. While still hot, pour over un-frosted cake. Once cool, frost with cool whip. yum! I use strawberry jello mix, and the whole cake tastes like strawberry shortcake.

Try it, You'll like it.

ooh yummy. I never thought to put holes in the cake. A friend of mines mother gave me the recipe for a strawberry cake... basically same as yours but using the strawberry "stuff" that you get in the frozen food area, and it is a layer cake. MMMM sounds so good. I am going to run to the store and bake now. (I hate cooking of any kind!)
