Not Exactly Time Travel Tuesday

It's not exactly Time Travel Tuesday, but I heard this song at work this week and we all got to laughing at each other's memories of why/where we remember this song. Most of us were young when it came out and so the disco was not in our realm of recognition. However, the Roller Rink was. So for one this was always the song she skated backwards with her "Crush du Jour". For one, is was the song during which she was kissing her "Crush du Jour" in the corner or most likely in the bathroom. I always think of my brother...(not nearly as fun huh?) because he was a teenager during this time, and hated the Bee Gees. (Still does, if ya wanna know the truth) So my memories of this song, were me singing as loudly and falsetto-ey as I could, while Ed was trying not to hear. As if Barry Gibbs falsetto wasn't bad enough, I had to crank it up with my 10 year old voice. Oh yea!!

So I invite you all to reminisce about this time in your lives. comment if you'd like. What memories does this song bring out for you? Without further ado I give you....The Bee Gees "Night Fever".

I remember skating to it at the Roller Skating Rink as well. I became a huge fan of the Bee Gees even though I was a kid. Probably exposed to by Mum. The Bee Gees are also from my home town so they were pretty popular here in Brisbane, Australia.

Of course you can't remember this song without thinking about Saturday Night Fever and John Travolta.

Mmm, thanks for the trip down memory lane!
